Depart at 7:30 am from your hotel to Albrook airport from where a short flight (approx. 20 min) will take you to the breathtaking Pearl Islands region of Panama and the San Jose Island. Beautiful coral white, ebony black and radiant gold beaches and coves surround the island and lush green vegetation covers its sloping hills which peek to 400 feet. Upon your arrival the hotel transports will be waiting for you to take you to Hacienda Del Mar, where you will be welcomed with a courtesy cocktail and then led to your cabin. It is up to you if you would like to take one of the many tours and activities offered by the hotel or spend the rest of the day relaxing at the lodge.
GROUND TRANSPORT: 7:30 am transfer by the hotel transporters from your hotel in Panama City to Albrook airport. Please arrange exact departure time with hotel concierge the night before. Transfer to be paid directly.
AIR TRANSPORT: At 9:30 am departure by air (max. weight 25 lbs per person) to San Jose Island (approx. 20 min flight).
GROUND TRANSPORT: Upon arrival, you will be met by the hotel transporters to take you to the hotel. – Please look for the driver with the “Hacienda del Mar” sign.

Free day to enjoy the hotel’s amenities and explore the island. You can for example take an ATV (four wheel motorbike) tour! This 2.5 hour tour on miles of roads and trails on our all-terrain four wheel motorbikes will bring you to some of the most exotic and primitive spot of the island. You will travel through 14,000 acres of pristine ecosystems with primary jungle crossing mountains and rivers. We will stop on the way to different beaches so you can swim, drink cold drinks and take pictures of the majestic points of the island. You will opportunities to see the wildlife (iguanas, wild pigs, deer, etc.). Spend the afternoon enjoying the relaxed casual elegance of your hotel and your cabin, walk along the beach, go for a swim and look forward to a spectacular sunset.

Free day to enjoy the beautiful beaches, or opt to experience some of the world’s best scuba diving, snorkeling or fishing in the crystal clear blue sea. The hotel staff will be happy to help you plan all your fun filled days during your stay. Available activities include snorkeling, diving, fishing, wave runner riding, water skiing, exploring the beautiful isolated island, relaxing by the pool, taking exciting jungle tours, kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, banana boat rides, bird watching or simply lounging on the private white sand beach.

Enjoy your last morning on San Jose Island, have breakfast overlooking the crystal clear sea or dip into the ocean for a last swim. Around 8:00 am, the hotel will take you to the airport for the 10:00 am flight back to Panama City. Enjoy the rest of the day in Panama City. Your hotel is within minutes of the best shopping centers, fashion boutiques, cafes, restaurants, bars and night clubs. You could also use the afternoon to take part in one of our Recommended Tours from Panama City.

Day 1, 2 & 7 - PANAMA CITY
Panama City is a city of easy cosmopolitan living, a delightful combination of the historic and the ultra-modern which offers a lively nightlife, and fantastic restaurants, but at the same time features historic buildings dating back to the 16th century. Founded in 1517, Panama City was the first city built on the Pacific Coast of the Americas. The Metropolitan Natural Park offers an amazing fauna and flora right within the city limits.

Day 3-6 - PEARL ISLANDS
Over 57 splendorous coral white, ebony black and radiant gold beaches and coves surround San Jose Island, embedded between the temperate and calm turquoise waters of the Gulf of Panama. Lush green vegetation covers the whole island over gently sloping hills which peak, at the north of the island, to 440 feet. The climate of the island is tropical with the temperature ranging between a minimum of 65 F, and a high of 93 F, with an average of 79 F.

What to Bring
Panama City Region:
Panama features warm temperatures all year long between the mid 70's (mid 20's Celsius) and high 80's (around 30 Celsius.) However it's always good to bring a sweater or jacket for the evenings or windy boat rides and rain gear during the rainy season (May to November).
Pearl Islands Region:
Tropical fauna and flora at its best, but this also means warm and humid, so dress accordingly. Please make sure to bring the following: Mosquito repellent - Sunscreen - Hiking boots or good pair of tennis shoes - Bathing Suites - Rash guard for the water-sports people - Sun glasses
