While almost certainly subordinate to the larger city of Uxmal, Kabah, just a few miles away, was not just a minor city, but an important location in its own right and surprises today’s visitors with its own special ambiance. The main structure here is the Palace of the Masks, an imposing building used for religious rituals and other state ceremonies. Return in the evening to your hotel. While in Mérida, do not forget to try some of the exquisite dishes characteristic of the Yucatecan cuisine. Tropical flora and fauna can be enjoyed all year long and temperatures are usually in the 80s.

Please make sure to bring the following:

Mosquito repellent - Sunscreen - Hiking boots or good pair of tennis shoes - Rain gear - Bathing Suites - Rash guard for the water-sports people - Sun glasses
