Arrive into Guatemala City at (time to be confirmed), where our driver will be there to greet you and transfer you directly to your lovely charm hotel in Antigua. Spend an afternoon/evening enjoying this magical colonial town, considered by some to be the most beautiful in the world. Walk its romantic cobble stone streets and enjoy fine cuisine at one of the many excellent gourmet restaurants in the area.

Today, our private driver will pick you up at 8:00 am and take you on a panoramic 2 hour drive to visit the mystical city of Chichicastenango (Thursdays and Sundays only, otherwise directly to Lake Atitlan). Located at 2500 meters above sea level, this city is famous for its market on Thursdays & Sundays, where spats of traditionally dressed villagers in a kaleidoscope of colors, come to sell their very colorful textiles, fruits, vegetables and flowers. Also worth a visit is the peaceful yet colorful cemetery. After lunch, depart for magical Lake Atitlan with direct transfer to your hotel on Lake Atitlan. Spend the afternoon visiting the lake side village of Panajachel, enjoy a breathtaking sunset followed by a romantic dinner, or simply relax in your deluxe lake side hotel.

Take a private boat tour to some of the many lake side villages around Lake Atitlan. Your lanchero (boat driver) will pick you up from your hotel and take you by boat to two of the Indigenous villages along the shore of the lake. We recommend visiting Santiago de Atitlan, San Juan La Laguna, or San Antonio Palopo. Your guide will share many insights on local customs and traditions with you. Enjoy the spectacular scenery the lake has to offer and learn more about the villagers, whose traditional costumes still vary from one village to the other, as well as their history. Should you like to go for a swim we can stop at Playa Dorada close to the village of San Pedro or take you to the hot springs close to St. Catarina Palopo. We recommend having lunch in Santiago Atitlan at the Restaurante El Pescador or, on your way back, at the beautiful Hotel Casa Palopo in St. Catarina Palopo.

Be transferred from your hotel in the Pacific Coast (pick up 8:00 am) to Coban. We will make one stop for lunch in rout (not included) and arrive around 5:00 pm. Cobán has a huge wildlife that lives particularly in the mountains and inside the vast cave system of the area, which makes it an interesting visit to explorers. One of the most interesting specimens of the plants that grow in the region is the Monja Blanca, the national flower. Additionally, its forests serve as a natural habitat for the Quetzal bird.

LODGING: 2 nights - Double Room – Casa Duranta

Today, your driver will pick you up at 8:00 am for your private 3 hr drive to Semuc Champey, a beautiful series of small ponds and pools on a natural land bridge that crosses the Cahabón River. In the Maya Kechi language, Semuc Champey means "Agua Sagrada" (Sacred Water). The Cahabón River submerges itself at the entrance of Semuc Champey and resurfaces about 400 meters later after it passes this natural limestone bridge suspended with beautiful crystal clear ponds. In this unique natural formation you have water with shades of light green emerald to dark blue sapphire. Return to the hotel in the afternoon.

SEMUC CHAMPEY TOUR: Pick up by your private driver at 8:00 am from your hotel to Semuc Champey. Tour includes ground transfer, lunch, beverages and entrance fee.

Be picked up at 8:00 am from your hotel in Coban and depart in a private air conditioned vehicle to the mystical region of Peten jungle. Your expert guide will share many insights on this Mayan city and provide a feel for the mysteries of this ancient culture. Have lunch in the midst of Mayan ruins and breathtaking flora and fauna; return in the late afternoon and spend the evening relaxing lake side, or opt for a visit & possibly dinner in the lovely town of Flores, the capital of the Peten region.

TIKAL TOUR: 9:00 am departure from hotel in Peten for Tikal ruins with expert guide for an all day guided tour, complete with lunch (without beverages), entrance fees and transportation.

Free day to enjoy the many attractions the Peten Region has to offer. You could opt for a morning tour of the romantic archeological site of Yaxha/Topoxte (highly recommended), or any of the other sites and attractions of the region based on your specific interest. Peten also boasts the largest protected tropical forest area in Central America, whose areas amazing fauna and flora, lakes, rivers, lagoons, caves, etc.. make it a perfect place to engage in all sorts of adventurous activities. Or of course, simply relax lakeside, soaking up the sun and enjoying the natural sounds of the rainforest.... Be transferred to the airport in Flores at 4:30 pm for your 6:30 pm TAG flight back to Guatemala City with with arrival in Guatemala City at 7:30 pm, where you will be transfer to your hotel in Guatemala City.

Day 1, 2 & 5 - LA ANTIGUA GUATEMALA


Here you will have the opportunity to visit one of the most magnificent colonial cities in all the Americas. Simply relax at side walk cafés, shop at Indian markets, enjoy the city’s many historical ruins and monuments, visit its museums, enjoy fabulous cuisine & experience Mayan culture. The more adventurous may opt to take a day to deep sea fish the nearby Pacific, hike a local active volcano, mountain bike, golf or horse back ride.

Day 3 & 4 - LAKE ATITLAN & ITS VILLAGES


In Lake Atitlan, a deep-blue volcanic crater lake surrounded by three picture perfect volcanoes and the colorful Maya villages resting on its shores, you will experience a magic felt in no other place. Relax, get a massage, meditate, shop, enjoy nature, or for the more adventurous, hike one of the volcanoes, scuba dive, swim, kayak, mountain bike... and much more. Day 6 & 7 - COBAN & SEMUC CHAMPEY


Coban, in Alta Verapaz, is incredibly rich in flora and fauna. In the Maya Q'eqchi language it means "in the clouds", because it rains most of the time. The city was founded by Dominican friars in 1543. Years later it was declared Imperial City by Carlos V. It has caves hundreds of feet down into the earth with underground rivers. Near Cobán, you will find: Semuc Champey, an incredibly beautiful natural limestone bridge resting on top of a river, with little waterfalls and pools of crystal clear water, excellent for swimming; Las Grutas de Lanquin, a large cave with amazing formations and a river that flows under it. Today it is an important center of coffee and cardamom production.


Day 8 & 9 -TIKAL RUINS & LAKE PETEN ITZA


Here you will experience the greatest of Mayan archeological wonders at the Tikal National Park, nestled deep in the Peten jungle. This region also boasts the largest protected tropical forest area in Central America, whose area’s impressive fauna and flora, lakes, rivers, lagoons and caves, will absolutely amaze you.

Day 10 & 11 - GUATEMALA CITY


Nueva Guatemala de la Asunción is the capital city of the Republic of Guatemala, and is the center of all commercial, religious, and cultural activities. This metropolis of nearly three million inhabitants presents the visitor with a contrasting panorama of modern architecture interspersed with colonial buildings, museums, and historical monuments.




What to Bring


Antigua & Lake Atitlan Region:

They call it the "land of eternal spring", at 1700 meters above sea level, the temperature is just right. The days remain in the mid to upper 70's (mid 20's Celsius) with evenings becoming cooler dropping into the 60's (15 Celsius.) Bring a sweater or jacket for the evenings.

Peten (Tikal) Region:

Tropical fauna and flora at its best, but this also means warm and humid, so dress accordingly. Please make sure to bring the following: Mosquito repellent - Sunscreen - Hiking boots or good pair of tennis shoes - Bathing Suites - Rash guard for the water-sports people - Sun glasses
