Arrive into Guatemala City (time to be confirmed) and be transferred directly to your lovely charm hotel in Antigua. Spend an afternoon/evening enjoying this magical colonial town, considered by some to be the most beautiful in the world. Walk its romantic cobble stone streets and enjoy fine cuisine at one of the many excellent gourmet restaurants in the area.

Depart at 9:00 am for breathtaking Lake Atitlan, a deep-blue volcanic crater lake surrounded by three picture perfect volcanoes and the colorful Maya villages resting on its shores. Described as one of the most beautiful lakes in the world by late British author Aldous Huxley, it is definitely one of Guatemala’s most spectacular natural attractions. On the way, you may stop for lunch or just a snack or coffee at the lovely Café Katok. In rout, you may also opt for visit of the late Post-Classic Maya ruins of Iximché, ruled by the Kaqchikel in the 15th century until it’s burning by the Spanish in 1526. This archeological site is located in the municipal district of Tecpán and was the ancient capital of the Maya Kakchiquel Indians, also Guatemala’s first capital called “The kingdom of Goathemala.” These well preserved ruins are located on a hill in the higher and cooler Sierra mountains, surrounded by steep slopes and pine trees… Closer to Lake Atitlan, you could also choose to stop at the Solola market (if market day) to see some of the finest arts and crafts produced in Guatemala (please ask your driver on the way if interested and if market day.) Arrive in Lake Atitlan mid afternoon, check into the hotel and spend the rest of the day visiting the lake side village of Panajachel, or just relax at your deluxe lake side hotel. GROUND TRANSPORT: 9:00 am pick up from your hotel for private transfer in deluxe air conditioned mini van or SUV to Lake Atitlan (3 hrs), with stop in Iximche and/or Solola market
LODGING: 2 nights - 1 Standard Double Room - Hotel Atitlan

Free Day at Lake Atitlan - Here you may choose to relax at your deluxe lake side hotel, swim in the lake, or take a boat tour to one or several of the many lake side villages. Highly Recommended!! Visit for example nearby Panajachel, Santiago, San Pedro and/or St. Catarina Palopo. RECOMMENDED: Chichicastenango Day Tour (Sun & Thu only)
Today we recommend you organize at the hotel a private or public tour to visit the mystical city of Chichicastenango (1 hr drive). The city is located at 2500 meters above sea level and is famous for its market on Thursdays & Sundays. Spats of traditionally dressed villagers in a kaleidoscope of colors come to sell their very colorful textiles, fruits, vegetables and flowers here. Also worth a visit is the cemetery and the idol Pascual Abaj.
* On Thursdays or Fridays Chichicastenango can also be incorporated in your transfer to or from Lake Atitlan.

Spend a free morning enjoying one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. Be picked up at 11:30 am at the hotel for you private transfer to Guatemala City Airport. A quick stop for lunch or coffee at the lovely café Katuk is always a lovely option we are sure you will enjoy. Arrive at Guatemala City airport around 3:30 pm for your 5:25 pm TACA flight to Flores. Arrive in Flores at 6:20 pm where the hotel transporters will be there to meet you and take you to your deluxe eco lodge nestled deep in the Peten jungle.

After a hearty breakfast, at 9:00 am, your private guide and transport will pick you up at your hotel and take you to explore Tikal, one of the largest and most magnificent Mayan archeological cities in existence, which in its heyday (c. 700 AD,) was the capital of a vast Mayan empire. Your expert guide will share many insights on this Mayan city and provide a feel for the mysteries of this ancient culture. Have lunch in the midst of Mayan ruins and breathtaking flora and fauna; return in the late afternoon and spend the evening relaxing lake side, or opt for a visit & possibly dinner in the lovely town of Flores, the capital of the Peten region.

TIKAL TOUR: 9:00 am departure from hotel in Peten for Tikal ruins with expert guide for an all day guided tour, complete with lunch (without beverages), entrance fees and transportation.

Free day to enjoy the many attractions the Peten Region has to offer. We recommend a half day tour of the romantic archeological site of Yaxha/Topoxte, or any of the other Mayan ruins in the region based on your own interests. Peten also boasts the largest protected tropical forest area in Central America, whose area's amazing fauna and flora, lakes, rivers, lagoons, caves, etc.. make it a perfect place to engage in all sorts of adventurous activities…Please visit our Tours in the Peten Region page for more information. Or you may simply choose to relax lakeside enjoying the natural sounds of the rainforest.... Enjoy a lovely dinner at the lodge, or perhaps a visit of the charming village of Flores for dinner is a better option.

Be picked up at 10:00 am for private ground transport via the border to Belize City airport, for your Tropic Air flight departing at 2:40 pm to beautiful Ambergris Caye on Belize's Caribbean Coast. Just a short 5 minute drive will take you to your 5 star resort, Victoria House, where you can spend the afternoon basking in the sun, swimming, snorkeling, visiting the small town of San Pedro, relaxing with a cocktail at one of the beach front bars, etc...
* Please note: Flying from Flores to Belize City is also an option.

Day 1 & 2 - LA ANTIGUA, GUATEMALA


Here you will have the opportunity to visit one of the most magnificent colonial cities in all the Americas. Simply relax at side walk cafés, shop at Indian markets, enjoy the city's many historical ruins and monuments, visit its museums, enjoy fabulous cuisine & experience Mayan culture. The more adventurous may opt to take a day to deep sea fish the nearby Pacific, hike a local active volcano, mountain bike or others.

Day 3 & 4 - LAKE ATITLAN & ITS VILLAGES


In Lake Atitlan, a deep-blue volcanic crater lake surrounded by three picture perfect volcanoes and the colorful Maya villages resting on its shores, you will experience a magic felt in no other place. Day 5, 6 & 7 - TIKAL RUINS & LAKE PETEN ITZA


Here you will experience the greatest of Mayan archeological wonders at the Tikal National Park, nestled deep in the Peten jungles. What to Bring


Antigua & Lake Atitlan Region:

They call it the "land of eternal spring", at 1700 meters above sea level, the temperature is just right. The days remain in the mid to upper 70's (mid 20's Celsius) with evenings becoming cooler dropping into the 60's (15 Celsius.) Bring a sweater or jacket for the evenings.

Peten Region & Belize:

Tropical fauna and flora at its best, but this also means warm and humid, so dress accordingly. Please make sure to bring the following: Mosquito repellent - Sunscreen - Hiking boots or good pair of tennis shoes - Bathing Suites - Rash guard for the water-sports people - Sun glasses
