Day 1: Belize City - Placencia
|
Arrive into Belize City on Continental Airlines Flight #1628 (from Houston) at 3:05 pm with immediate boarding on you connecting Tropic Air Flight 561 (www.tropicair.com) departing at 4:45 pm to the beautiful Placencia in southern Belize. Upon arrival at airport, you will be greeted by the hotel transporter and be transferred directly to your deluxe seaside hotel. Spend the afternoon/evening at your deluxe resort enjoying the various hotel amenities where pristine white sand beaches, deserted islands and brilliant turquoise waters await. You will spend your days enjoying some of the best snorkeling and diving in the world, fishing, pool or spa at the hotel, or just relaxing on the beach. There are also a number of mainland river and jungle attractions easily accessible from Placencia. Spend your evenings relaxing under the stars, enjoy a world class dinner, or having some fun at bar and entertainment area.

Day 2: Placencia (Free day)
|
Free day to experience the world's best salt-water fly-fishing or go snorkeling in miles of untouched barrier reef. Visit the world’s only jaguar reserve, or cruise up the Monkey River in kayaks and observe tropical birds, iguanas, manatees, crocodiles, and howler monkeys. From scenic strolls to scuba diving, the Turtle Inn staff will provide the region's most knowledgeable and trusted guides. Day 3: Placencia (Free day)
|
Another free day to experience the world's best salt-water fly-fishing or go snorkeling in miles of untouched barrier reef. Visit the world’s only jaguar reserve, or cruise up the Monkey River in kayaks and observe tropical birds, iguanas, manatees, crocodiles, and howler monkeys. Day 4: Placencia - Mountain Pine District
|
After enjoying a hearty breakfast and possible one last swim or activity at your beachside resort, be picked up at hotel at 3:00 pm by hotel transportation for transfer from Placencia to Mountain Pine Ridge Area in the Maya Mountains… The area is home to some of the more famous Maya sites in Belize such as Xunantunich, Cahal Pech and Caracol – with the most glorious of them all, Tikal in Guatemala, only being a few hours away by car, making for an amazing day trip. Other attractions include the inland Blue Hole, horseback riding, canoeing, underground rivers, hiking, dozens of amazing waterfalls, miles of mountain biking trails, river tubing and bird watching. Day 5: Mountain Pine District (Free day)
|
Free day to enjoy the various activities possible directly from the resort, where adventures abound in the surrounding 300-square-mile Mountain Pine Ridge Reserve and amidst 7200 acres of private reserve. The Inn is surrounded by dozens of private waterfalls, miles of hiking and biking trails, bird watching opportunities, all in tropical and pine forests with the region’s most trusted and knowledgeable guides. Many adventurous tours are also possible outside the property such as tours to the inland Blue Hole, horseback riding, canoeing, underground river hikes, river inner-tubing, and of course tours to the many wonderful Mayan Archeological sites including the world famous Tikal Ruins in Guatemala. Day 6: Mountain Pine District (Free day)
|
Another free day to enjoy the various activities possible directly from the resort. Today we recommend visiting the many blissful Waterfalls in the area by mountain bike. Even if you set out very early, a 12 hour day will allow you see maybe half of these amazing sites, and considering you will probably want to swim and relax in each one of them, we feel you will have time for only 3 or 4. Please ask the hotel concierge of a list of waterfalls to visit, maps of the area, and their recommendation based on your interests and level of adventure sought. Don't forget to ask for a picnic lunch to take with you, or have the hotel staff arrange for a special lunch package to be arranged at one of the waterfalls. You are in for one of the most amazing days of you life.

Day 7: Mountain Pine District - Belize International Airport
|
Last free morning to enjoy the many wonders of this region. Depart around 11:00 am to Belize International Airport for departure flight home on Continental Airlines Flight #1652 (to Houston) departing at 3:55 pm.
GROUND TRANSPORT: Transfer from Hotel at 11:00 am for private transfer to Belize International Airport (2 hr drive approx.)
