Dzibichaltun Ruins & Merida City Tour - Full day

Stroll around the ruins exploring a typical Mayan house and the Seven Dolls Temple. Uxmal Tour - Full day
While in Merida take a tour to the ruins of Uxmal, located just 80 km (50 mi) south of the city, which offer their visitors palaces of majestic architecture. The site has 15 groups of buildings, including the Adivino Pyramid, an impressive structure that is 35 meters (115 feet) tall, and the Palacio del Gobernador (Governor's Palace), considered one of the most beautiful constructions of Mesoamerica. Some very fine carved stelae have been discovered in Uxmal, and the study of their inscriptions and those found on the buildings themselves has played an important role in the ongoing decoding of Mayan writing. Your expert guide will share many insights on this Mayan city and provide a feel for the mysteries of this ancient culture. Enjoy lunch nearby, and return in the afternoon to Merida.

While almost certainly subordinate to the larger city of Uxmal, Kabah, just a few miles away, was not just a minor city, but an important location in its own right and surprises today's visitors with its own special ambiance. The main structure here is the Palace of the Masks, an imposing building used for religious rituals and other state ceremonies. Have a delicious lunch, before returning to Merida.
