ROOM TYPES
Junior Suite: Spacious and luxurious, the Junior Suites offer a romantic atmosphere with a tastefully decorated sitting area featuring Italian furnishings. All of these suites are on the ground floor with patio doors leading out to the lush gardens and attractive pool area. An arch and steps divide the bedroom from the sunken living area. The Junior Suite features one king bed (a rollaway bed for one additional person is available for an extra charge and subject to availability) and a sofa in the living area.
Deluxe Rooms: The Deluxe Rooms offer the perfect vantage point to contemplate the moon and stars. Their balcony is a great place for a quiet read or to enjoy the early morning sunshine. All Deluxe Rooms feature a stunning décor with Italian furnishings (one king bed) and a view of the picturesque swimming pool through the shady palm trees.
Standard Rooms: The Standard Rooms on the ground floor are big on comfort and style with patio doors which open onto the lushly landscaped courtyard. Those on the upper floor have windows with views down to the pool area and gardens. The rooms are sophisticated and well-appointed with Italian furnishings and feature one king bed or two double beds (subject to availability).
SPA SERVICES
The Spa Itza at Mosquito Blue Hotel has made a name for itself by combining a luxurious setting with ancient Mayan healing therapies. Located directly adjacent to the hotel in a secluded garden, guests begin their spa experience by crossing the threshold into a lush garden surrounded by a stone sculpture inspired by The Temple of the Sun in the Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza. With the hotel’s signature style, Spa Itza is a total of four thousand square feet and features an atmosphere of serene sensuality. The spa features pedicure stations, an Organic Tea and Oxygen Bar, specialty massage environments (including Shiatsu, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Tandem, and “Four Hands” massage), a level dedicated to healing through water with immersion and rooftop to enjoy an invigorating open-air shower and relax on the deck after purifying in the dry sauna or Vapor Lodge.
Spa Itza is the only spa in Playa del Carmen that harvests natural botanicals from the jungle according to ancient proscribed techniques of the Mayans, taking great care not to deplete the natural resources. The spa’s treatment regime pays homage to the native Mayans who were early advocates of the healing powers of water, integrating the healing and restorative properties of water throughout every aspect of spa treatments.
