The building that houses Hotel Castelmar dates back to 1800 and was initially built to be used as army barracks before it was converted into one of the first hotels in Campeche City almost a century ago. Remodeled in 2004 the hotel still offers its guests the colonial charm without neglecting modern amenities like wireless internet and air conditioning. Hotel Castelmar is located in the historic center of Campeche City (declared World Heritage Site in 1999) and just a few steps from the sea. It is surrounded by historic buildings, colonial houses, churches, forts, souvenir shops, museums, bars and restaurants.

• Cancellations must be made in writing 45 days prior to arrival date (60 days for Christmas/New Year and Easter reservations) for full refund, subject to any cancellation fees that may be charged by the hotel and the administrative fee identified herein below. If cancellations are not made in writing within 45 days (60 days for Christmas/New Year and Easter reservations), penalties may be equal to the total invoiced amount (hotel terms will apply.)
