CUISINE

Hacienda Uxmal has an elegant, gourmet restaurant serving genuine Yucatecan cuisine and a range of seafood and other international favorites, in addition to a poolside grill. True Yucatecan cooking is a far cry from the tamales and tostadas of central and northern Mexico. Regional cooks are adept at blending exotic spices and fond of Mayan traditional cooking techniques. Guests are invariably delighted with the results. The kitchen staff members at Hacienda Uxmal show guests how they prepare Yucatecan dishes in regular culinary demonstrations.

The terrace bar is the ideal spot for drinks and conversation at dusk, after a day at the Mayan temples, or in the evening under the stars. A guitar trio provides nightly entertainment in both the restaurant and the bar.
