Should you wish to cancel a tour, we require a minimum of 12 hours notice. Cancellations received less than 12 hours prior to departure time will be charged 50% of the tour cost. Tikal: Once one of the greatest cities in the world, Tikal in its heyday (c. 700 AD) was the capital of a vast Mayan empire. Today the site is one of the archeological wonders of the world. Its unspoiled jungle setting makes it special for travelers – especially bird watchers and archeology fans.

Ceibal: The impressive runi of Ceibal served as a tollgate for barges plying the river in ancient Mayan times. Travel by vehicle to the banks of the La Passion River, and then take a boat across the river to visit Ceibal. Ceibal is also considered “The Mayan Art Gallery” because of its well-preserved stellae. On the return you will cross the Petexbatun lake home to turtles, crocodiles and a large variety of birds.

Topoxte & Yaxha: These two important Mayan archeological sites are located on Yaxha lagoon. Upon arrival board a “cayuco” (motorized canoe) to visit Topoxte located on an Island located in the Lake. This has recently been restored to show how the Maya lived and protected themselves on the Island. After lunch, transfer to Yaxha considered to be the largest city of the Maya world. Lake Tour: Explore Lake Peten Itza by boat. Visit the small but interesting lake-side zoo to see local species such as jaguar, monkey, macaw and tapir. Continue on to the island town of Flores for lunch and shopping for local arts and crafts. You will also observe life along the lake banks.

Flores: Flores is the capital town of the District of Peten, located on an Island in the Lake Peten Itza. You will still find houses that preserve their original structure of Colokche (mud walls) thatched (palm) roofs and unique colors. Ideal for a pleasant stroll and shopping.
