Laguna Lodge is a rain forest ecotourism lodge, a leader among this tropical country’s hotels and resorts with an extra touch in style, comfort and personalized service. The lodge is located on a narrow strip of land, six hundred feet wide, the lodge’s spacious gardens, full of trees and exotic plants, enjoy the Caribbean Sea on one side and Tortuguero Lagoon on the other. Tortuguero is the most important nesting site in the entire Western half of the Caribbean for the green sea turtle. A natural system of canals and navigable lagoons of great scenic beauty cross the park from southeast to northwest forming the habitat for seven species of river turtles, manatee or sea cow, reptiles, mammals such as howler and spider monkeys and a wide range of crustaceans plus some 30 freshwater species of fish.

AMENITIES
• Laguna Lodge offers 80 rooms divided in blocks of 4 or 6 rooms furnished with all the basic elements for a very comfortable stay. Private bathroom, hot water, ceiling fan, reading lamps, wooden benches outside your room to admire the gardens.
• Open air restaurant overlooking the Tortuguero Lagoon
• 2 bars, one located over the lagoon and another one next to the swimming pool area. All of them decorated with woods from the beach
• Swimming pool with hydro-massage waterfall and a small islet
• Huts with hammocks to take a nap, read a book or simply relax
• Fifteen acres full of trees and exotic plants

TOURS & ACTIVITIES
The Tortuguero National Park is the most important nesting site in the entire Western half of the Caribbean for the green sea turtle. The season starts around mid July and ends by October. However nature lovers and bird watchers will always get their money worth when visiting this tropical region. The Laguna Lodge packages include the following tours to help you make the most of your stay and experience this fantastic natural paradise.
One night packages include:
• Visit to the Turtle Museum of the C.C.C. (Caribbean Conservation Corporation) and to the colorful town of Tortuguero
• Early morning boat tour to admire the awakening of Tortuguero National Park
Two nights packages include:
• Visit to the Turtle Museum and to the colorful town of Tortuguero
• Optional early morning boat tour to admire the awakening of Tortuguero National Park
• Boat tour at time of your choice (morning or afternoon) through the Tortuguero canals to see the amazing fauna and flora
Three nights packages include:
• Tours as described in the 2-night-package
• Day at leisure where you are able to enjoy the pool, butterfly garden, lagoon deck, stroll at the beach or join another boat tour to explore the canals.
All boats are equipped with life jackets and rain ponchos for your safety and comfort.
Optional tours offered by the Laguna Lodge are furthermore the Turtle nesting night walks (from mid July to October approximately; $20 per pers.) - a highlight for every nature lover!!! - and fishing trips with experienced local captains for Tarpon, Snook, Jacko Bell, Red Snapper, and Macko among other species (trips and rates upon request). Kayaking is also available so you can explore some of the canals on your own if you have a chance and marvel at the exotic plants and animals the region has to offer.

Reservation Terms:

• 50% of invoiced amount is required in order to confirm reservation, balance due 45 days prior to arrival
• Cancellations must be made in writing 45 days prior to arrival date for full refund, excluding any cancellation fees that may be charged by the hotel and the administrative fee identified herein below. If cancellations are not made in writing within 45 days, penalties may be equal to the total invoiced amount (hotel terms will apply.) All cancellations received at any time will be charged $50 US administrative fee.
