Water exploration begins on the shores of Turtle Inn. Dive the turquoise waters of the largest coral reef in the Northern Hemisphere, kayak through the lagoons of Placencia, or swim along the beaches of the luxurious Turtle Inn Resort. From the reef to the rainforest, tours are ecologically and culturally diverse.
Please inform the Concierge the evening prior to your planned tour day the latest to reserve space or discuss options. All prices are subject to Government Tax (IVA) of 10%. Should you wish to cancel a tour, we require a minimum of 12 hours notice. Cancellations received less than 12 hours prior to departure time will be charged 50% of the tour cost. Turtle Inn cannot be held responsible or liable for trip cancellations or altered itineraries due to reasons out of our control.

Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary: The world’s only Jaguar reserve is a superb place for birding, hiking, and wildlife viewing. Hiking trails are well marked and range from easy to more challenging. Take a picnic lunch (included in tour price) enjoy fun tubing down the river, then cool off under refreshing waterfalls.

Nim Li Punit Maya Site and Blue Creek Caves: Located in the beautiful rainforest in the Toledo District of Southern Belize, a 2-hour scenic drive leads you to the late-classic ceremonial site of Nim Li Punit. Enjoy lunch Mayan style before continuing on to the Hokel Ha Caves of Blue Creek. First, a 30-minute hike brings you to the entrance of the west caves. As you swim through the cave, you will be surrounded by cascading waters, stalactites and crystal-like formations.

Lubaantun Maya Site and Rio Blanco Waterfalls: Excavated Maya ruins loom above the untouched jungle, Lubaantun (Place of the Falling Stones) is a sight to behold. The site of Lubaantun has three plazas and ball courts. The rounded walls are unique in Mayan building style. Several unique stellae and a tomb can be viewed. Enjoy a picnic lunch and venture to Rio Blanco Waterfalls where water cascades 20 feet from a cliff into a large blue-green pool below, which is perfect for swimming.

Monkey River: Explore Monkey River by boat observing howler monkeys, tropical birds, iguanas, crocodiles and many other species of wildlife. Your experienced guide will take you through mangrove estuaries at the edge of the lagoon, home of the manatee. Stop upriver and hike trails through the rainforest to view families of howler monkeys. This is a remarkable wildlife trip. On your return downriver, you will stop in the village of Monkey River for a lunch of local Creole food.
