Nim Li Punit & Lubaantun Maya Ruins
Nim Li Punit, Meaning "Big Hat" in mayan, was discovered in 1976 and has been classified as strickly a late classic period site. This mayan site is situated along the top of a ridge in the foothill of the maya mountains, the site has a commanding view of the coastal plains in the Toledo district of southern Belize. Lubaantun, meaning "place of fallen stones" was first reported in 1903. Expeditions in 1915, 1926 and 1970 followed. This is an apt name for this site because of the dry masonry Style of architecture. The pyramids are man made stone platforms on top of which stood perishable buildings in the Toledo District of Southern Belize.

Nim Li Punit Mayan Ruin & Blue Creek Cave
Located in the beautiful rainforest of the Toledo District in Southern Belize, an hour's scenic drive leads you to the late classic ceremonial site of Nim Li Punit : Enjoy lunch in the Mayan Village before continuing on the Hokeb caves of Blue Creek. Whale Shark Diving (April/May/June)
During the months of April through June, southern Belize offers divers and snorkelers the unique opportunity for spotting the large pelagic feeder known as the whale shark. When in a playful mood, these gentle and curious creatures will hang around for long periods of time. The best time to see the whale sharks are during these months, three days before the full moon to three days after the last quarter moon (It's during this period that cubera snappers spawn, attracting the whale sharks).
